High Resolution images acquired on our BrightView XCT Nuclear Imaging System

HISTORY:  RT thyroid nodule.    

TECHNIQUE: Thyroid scintigraphy was performed following the intravenous injection of tracer. 

FINDINGS: There is a heterogeneous tracer distribution throughout both lobes of a mildly enlarged thyroid gland with no retrosternal extension.  Focal intense uptake is demonstrated in the lower pole of the right lobe. 

COMMENT: The study demonstrates a hyper functioning nodule in the lower pole of the right lobe of a mild goitre with overall normal trapping function and no other function is significant nodules.
