High Resolution SPECT CT images acquired on our BrightView XCT Nuclear Imaging System

HISTORY:  RT foot pain for last 10 days.  

TECHNIQUE: Regional scintigraphy with SPECT/CT was performed following intravenous injection of tracer.  

FINDINGS: There is focally increased vascularity in the posterior aspect of the right ankle in the flow phase of the study. In the delayed images there is increased tracer uptake in posterior aspect of the right ankle.  SPECT/CT images demonstrate intense focal uptake in the os trigonum with lucency on low-dose CT. 

COMMENT: The findings are consistent with acute injury/fracture of the right Os trigonum.
